Substance & Shadow Theatre were represented in the studio by Rosie and Midge who made their play
Skin Deep sound extremely enticing. The play is set in the eighties in Exeter when Ska and Two-Tone music touched the hearts of the youth. The play is at Exeter's BikeShed Theatre on 3 and 8 June. Further info here.

Skin Deep features in Exeter's Performing Arts festival Ignite which takes place in venues all over Exeter from 3 to 9 June.

Will from Gecko spoke to us on a phone line from Cardiff where the band is on tour. Gecko are a five piece band play who play urban, hip-hop influenced UK music with intelligent and often humorous lyrics. They are supporting The Skints at Exeter Phoenix on Friday 31 May.

Listen to Phonic Voices

Phonic Voices is a community radio project directed by Peter Snelling of    My Pocketsa production company which works with people who have something important to say but no way to say it. It was produced with funding from The National Lottery.

In Phonic Voices members of the public in Exeter were challenged to record the one day of their life that made them who they are.

All the stories were recorded and edited by the people who were telling them. The pieces of radio created are moving, funny, authentic and personal.
The Phonic Voices programmes were first broadcast on Hot Pebbles!
on Phonic FM in April and May 2013.
